Obituary:
Margaret E. Bisacky, age 83, of Grand Haven passed away Monday, May 18, 2009, at the Heartwood Lodge Hospice Residence. She was born April 7, 1926, in Grand Haven to William and Margaret (Munch) Gardner, and she married Frank Bisacky on June 22, 1946, in Grand Haven. He preceded her in death on May 20, 2005. Mrs. Bisacky was a lifelong resident of Grand Haven and a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, and the VFW Auxiliary. She formerly worked at Camfield’s, Zelenka Nursery, and retired from Grand Transformers. She enjoyed wintering in Leesburg, Florida, and spending time outdoors, especially camping and hiking. She is survived by four daughters: Paulette (Frank) Ehrhardt of Jenison, Cindy (James) DeVries, Peggy (Richard) Michaels, and Frances (Ron) Franklin, all of Grand Haven; a son, Frank (Joy) Bisacky, Jr. of Spring Lake; sixteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and one brother, William (Jean) Gardner of Grand Haven. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; one brother, Ben Gardner; and four sisters: Mildred Buikema, Lucille Rant, Winifred Grabman, and Ann Barbrick. The Funeral Mass for Margaret will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 22, 2009, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Grand Haven with Rev. Ken Schichtel as celebrant. Friends may meet the family 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday, May 21, at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Grand Haven with a Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church. Interment will be in Lakeshore Cemetery. Memorial contributions to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church or to Hospice of North Ottawa Community are appreciated.
