Beverly E. Klempel, age 91, of Grand Haven passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at a local care facility. She was born April 28, 1918, in Grand Haven to John and Florence (Bevins) Pippel, and she married Leonard A. Klempel on June 8, 1940, in Grand Haven. He preceded her in death on January 3, 2001.
Beverly was a member of First Reformed Church in Grand Haven, and she enjoyed playing the organ, listening to singing groups, baking, and canning.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Ellen (Larry) Reiss of Grand Haven; her son, David Klempel of St. Joseph, MI; and a grandson, John David Williams of Corinth, TX. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Pippel.
The service for Beverly will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 8, 2009, at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Grand Haven with Rev. John Kenny officiating. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Lake Forest Cemetery. Memorial contributions to Hospice of North Ottawa Community are appreciated.
