Helen Ann Grzyb, age 97, of Grand Haven passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 7, 2009, at a local care facility. Born September 10, 1911 in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Bernice (Depczynski) Grzyb.
Helen had been an area resident most of her life. She retired from Kent Products after working for years with her sister, Ann, as a beautician. She enjoyed dancing, baking, golfing & playing cards. Helen was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and an auxiliary member of the Legion of Mary.
She is survived by her sisters, Frances Grabman and Louise DeWitt, both of Grand Haven, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Mary Grzyb, Hattie Schillo, Anna Grzyb, and brothers Michael and Bruno (Whitey) Grzyb.
A funeral liturgy for Helen Grzyb will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 9th, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with Rev. William Langlois as celebrant. Friends may meet the family at church one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Lake Forest Cemetery.
