Susanna M. Cooley, age 62, of Spring Lake passed away Friday, July 17, 2009 at Heartwood Lodge Hospice Home. She was born January 15, 1947 in Louisville, KY, to Joseph L. and Virginia Louise (Leppert) Brummett Sr.
Susanna was a resident of the Tri-Cities area since 1983 and had been employed at Harbor Transit as a driver. She enjoyed bowling, camping, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her significant other for the past 18 years, John Hume; a daughter, Sonya Cooley of Twin Lake; a son, Howard (Rebecca) Cooley of Clarkston, WA; 3 grandchildren: Christopher Fors, Vincent Fors, Phillip Cooley; a sister, Margaret “Maggie” Brummett of Missouri; a brother, Joe (Flo) Brummett of Louisville, KY; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
The service for Susanna will be held at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2009, at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Spring Lake with Pastor Jerald Poehl officiating. Friends may meet the family 4-6 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service. Memorial contributions to assist the family, c/o the funeral home, are appreciated.
