Donald Charles Dubuc, age 49, of San Francisco, California passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2009, at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born April 14, 1960, in Toledo, OH, to Donald Louis and Mary Pat (Mattimoe) Dubuc. He married the former Peggy Menzie in 2009 in California.
Don moved to California seven years ago and was employed as a landscaper. He previously lived in Dearborn, MI, where he grew up and went to Dearborn High School and Henry Ford Community College. He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Brentwood, California and he enjoyed gardening, listening to music, and reading landscape trade magazines.
He is survived by his loving wife, Peggy; two daughters, Kelley Dubuc of Westland, MI, and Katie Dubuc of Dearborn, MI; his mother, Mary Pat Dubuc of Spring Lake; one sister, Sheila (Chip) Sipovic of Norton Shores, MI; two brothers, John Dubuc of Altamonte Springs, FL, and Tim (Jen) Dubuc of Norton Shores, MI; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Louis.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Donald will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 15, 2009, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Spring Lake with Rev. Daniel DePew as celebrant. Friends may meet the family following the service for a luncheon and fellowship at church. Interment will be in Lake Forest Cemetery.
